Without a doubt, this is the best so far of the four books featuring Vince Tanzi. The big lug certainly gets himself into, and comes out of, some tight situations -- whether it is with women or the twisted characters he encounters when trying to finish an investigation. I sure hope he gets his Mojo back and we are treated to another story. I love the way he is so self-deprecating, humorous, and can see which way the case is unfolding -- even if dangerously late on occasions.Product details

Pretty good read this Dennis has to work hard to make this detective is dumb as he is . With pure tenacity defined me gets to the bottom of the barrel in the crime solved not necessarily by him

Love all the Tanzi books.No heavy prose,just a good fast read with interesting charactors.Hope Dennis keeps churning the stories out.
I like Vince Tanzi, who is a wise-cracking ex-cop along the lines of John Corey. This one is a quick satisfying read as long as you don't get bothered by the sheer improbability of the bad guys and gals. And at least his personal life seems to be moving in the right direction.
I read this series because of the great reviews, no doubt it was an outstanding series, it kept you guessing and on the edge of your seat all the way to the end. Don't pass up this series.
Enjoyed this whole series. Started out of order; recommend you read in order. Vince is a mix of bull headed detective and gentle soul. I like the author's languaging.
Have read all four of the Vince Tanzi books. They are all very quick and easy to read books. It was fun trying to figure out each of the "who dunits". Really liked all of the main characters. Vince is one hard headed detective in these books. Enjoy them. They are worth the effort.
